Family Support Networks (FSNs) have operated in Western Australia since December 2011. The initial Family Support Network included an FSN lead agency and partner agencies that provided integrated and coordinated secondary family support services to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families, and prevent the need for child protection intervention. The partner agency services included intensive family support and counselling, targeted parenting support, homelessness services, family and domestic violence intervention, services for young people, and targeted community support. The FSN lead agency provided an assessment and coordination service, with case management allocated to the partner agencies.
